Episode 5 BBC Jump Nation – The build up

In preparation for the first stadium show, Taurus spent 2 hours on Monday with choreographer Gary working on the routine, then trained for 2-3 hours each day for the rest of the week with myself and with Rob – drilling the timing and the tricks, trimming the choreography to fit the music perfectly.

This was the week for Dan to try a press up in the ropes, and to jump over Yasmina on the way in. The girls had some tricky single rope tricks to learn, and Nisha had a wrap and catch to work on. The music was Right Here, Right Now, by Fatboy Slim, and the girls had to be treat the boys like puppets, and make them dance! Lewis was give a back seat this week, because he had more opportunity to do some stunts the week before.

We found it really challenging to get all the tricks into the time allowed, and had to cut out a lot of what we wanted to do, and even then it was a crazy dash to get to the end pose before the track finished! But that wasn't the worst part of the week. Tune in at 8.30 on Saturday morning to see what the costume department decided to do to us…"

Having seen Dan do back handsprings at Team Taurus on Saturday I'm sure he'll be up for the challenge. 
Am looking forward to next weeks episode already.

WELL DONE TO TEAM TAURUS! I WATCH THE EPISODES OVER AND OVER AGAIN.   YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT AT JUMP ROPE AND I HOPE YOU GET THROUGH TO THE FINAL AND WIN! THE PERFORMANCE I ENJOYED THE MOST WAS WHEN YOU DID A RUGBY THEME AS I PLAY RUGBY MYSELF. IT WAS FANTASTIC. WELL DONE TO YOU ALL! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
